Illustration Friday - Exotic

I bought these earrings at Francesca's in Reston Town Centre a year ago. I've worn them twice. I adore them and they are comfy to wear but I hardly bring out the pretties anymore. I decided that i'm going to wear my pretties more and more. Sometimes I go through plain jane phases and sometimes the primadonna princess that used to dominate, finds her way back. Either way I absolutely LOVE painting jewelry now!

Illustration Friday - Disguise

It certainly feels strange to be blogging. I got slightly overwhelmed by trying to figure out what I wanted my blog to be. My friends have great blogs that are mostly one theme. My husband has an amazing blog of all his wonderful art here. The articles and gurus all recommend that your blog be on a particular theme in order to get noticed, get followers bla bla bla. Who cares? Definitely not me :)
I don't fit into a particular category. Never have, never will and I really like that about myself. So welcome (back) to my blog filled with all kinds of stuff, all facets of the sparkly goodness that is ME!
I've started Illustration Friday again. I'm having loads of fun creating fashion illustrations and decided to share them other than on Instagram or facebook. I'd love to see what you create too. Let's all create unapologetically, shall we?

IF: Hibernate

There's nothing more comforting than retreating from the cold fall/winter with a nice steaming mug of herbal tea.
When I thought about hibernate I immediately thought of bears. Then i thought of our sweet turtle gammy. He hibernates in the winter - well, he would if he was in the wild.
I don't really draw animals - that's my husband's forte. I had this strong urge to paint a tea bag this week and so I did. When i was almost done i realized that it would be perfect for hibernate!
